I was skimming through my social media profiles one bright morning when a status update caught my attention. It said, “Life is a bitch. So if it’s easy, you’re doing it wrong.”
That’s one drop in the stream of negative words that force their way into our consciousness every day. It grieves my spirit to see people make such declarations as I have learnt by experience and practice that what we think/talk about will come about.
Simply put, we shall have whatsoever we say. I’ve had to point this out privately to so many people that I eventually decided to go public with it so the message can spread far and wide.
Life runs on principles; and one of these principles is that you shall have whatsoever you say! That is, ultimately, your words are self-fulfilling prophecies. God’s Word says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, so you must accept the consequences of your words [for death or life].” (Proverbs 18:21, Matthew 12:37). If we are going to succeed God’s way, we must align our lives with His Word rather than our feelings or public opinion.
What you say can preserve life or destroy it. It’s okay to say what we feel; but it’s not okay to declare it as the absolute reality. For instance, I sometimes wake up feeling very sick; but that’s only a feeling and it doesn’t change anything. The reality is that I cannot be sick because the divine life flows in me. [Tweet that] So while it’s OK to say “I feel sick”, it will be wrong to say, “I am sick”.
The former is only a statement of fact while the latter is personalising the sickness and accepting it as my reality. Now, does this mean that we deny facts or apparent realities? Not at all! We acknowledge the facts! However, we do not allow them to control our actions or change our confession. Rather, we subject the variable facts and apparent realities of our feelings, situations and circumstances to the constant truth and ultimate reality of God’s Word. [Tweet that]
The Word says that when there is a casting down (temporary/variable fact and apparent reality), you say there is a lifting up (permanent/constant truth and ultimate reality). God says that as you do this, the light will shine in your way (Job 22:28). The Word of God is LIGHT (Psalm 109:5, 2Peter 1:19). You need constant exposure to the LIGHT for the light to break forth in you.
You need to keep reading God’s Word, confessing God’s Word, meditating on God’s Word and hearing God’s Word, especially as you confess and mutter it to yourself. The Bible says
that faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17, paraphrased). That is, it is only as you hear God’s Word over and over again that faith is birthed in your heart.
If you don’t meditate on God’s Word and speak it to yourself continually, you will not have the power to do according to all that is written in it (Joshua 1:8); hence your success in life will be greatly limited. On the other hand, speaking God’s Word and hearing it over and over again will birth faith in your heart; and this faith will overcome the world (John 16:33, 1John 5:4).
When you allow God’s Word to settle in your spirit, renew your mind and condition your
thoughts, you will become an embodiment of divine wisdom which causes you to always know what to do and have the power to do it. That is how to live the victorious life. I have
learnt that if we focus on something long enough, it will ultimately become our reality.
When we train ourselves to consciously speak the empowering Word of God and act in line
with it regardless of our circumstances, we will open up our minds to possibilities and solutions that we did not see before. My goal is to help you do just that.
Now, some folks may discard this as foolish talk. Well, that’s alright. I’d rather be ‘foolish’ and live an evidently blessed life than appear intelligent and be like everyone else. The reason is simple – the foolishness of God is wiser than the wisdom of men. The Word of God is the wisdom of God; and that is what I present to you.
Your words frame your world
I believe with all my heart that a major development that will accompany the manifestation of the sons of God in these last days is bringing humanity to a practical realisation of the efficacy and vitality of God’s Word. Sons and daughters of God will cure incurable diseases by prescribing and dispensing the Word like physicians and pharmacists prescribe and dispense medicine. Like dieticians, we will begin to formulate Word diets. Like Joseph in Egypt and Daniel in Babylon, we will bring the counsel of heaven into the affairs of everyday life, thereby solving otherwise intractable problems. And by so doing, we will cause amazing developments to spring up on the face of the earth.
Let the Bible speak for itself:
My son, attend to my words; consent and submit to my sayings. Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the centre of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh. (Proverbs 4:20-22 AMP)
And don’t for a minute let this Book of The Revelation be out of mind. Ponder and meditate on it day and night, making sure you practice everything written in it. Then you’ll get where you’re going; then you’ll succeed. (Joshua 1:8 MSG)
Jesus answered by quoting Deuteronomy: “It takes more than bread to stay alive. It takes a steady stream of words from God’s mouth.” (Matthew 4:4)
God’s word is living and active. It is sharper than any two-edged sword and cuts as deep as the place where soul and spirit meet, the place where joints and marrow meet. God’s word judges a person’s thoughts and intentions. (Hebrews 4:12 GWT)
I believe that most people want to live out the truths expressed in the above-quoted Scriptures and would greatly appreciate a simple tool that would train them to do just that. For such people, this book will be a priceless resource. With 168 tweet-ready declarations based on God’s Word, you can have a steady stream of God’s Word by tweeting one declaration per hour, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
If you do this consistently for three months I guarantee that you will experience a paradigm shift that will give you a new lease of life. This is a very practical way to live out God’s Word in Joshua 1:8 which instructs us to meditate on the Word day and night. Relating with God’s Word this way helps you to change your thoughts and when you change your thoughts, you change your life.
The spirit realm is voice-activated; nothing happens until something is spoken. So, as you tweet these words (or share them via other channels), it is important that you also declare them prayerfully. Speak each confession out loud with conviction and authority; and pray in the spirit as you do so. Then meditate on the corresponding scriptures. As you take these steps, you are consciously cooperating with the Holy Spirit to birth in time, the things that have been prepared for you before the foundations of the world.
Don’t be dogmatic or religious about it; ask the Holy Spirit to help you customise the words to suit your specific situation. This book is not an attempt to create an obligatory ritual or religious practice. Rather, it is a pattern and framework to inspire, encourage and spur you to begin or continue the practice of ordering your day and framing your world by the Word of God.
A confession a day…
You are probably familiar with the saying: “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.” While that may not be totally true, there’s some value in it, especially when considered figuratively. In like manner, someone has said, “A confession a day keeps the devil away.”
The point is that the more we declare and meditate on what God has said, the better equipped we will be to resist the devil. The following confessions and declarations have been organised into 24 confessions per day for seven days of the week. This will enable you to literally think on God’s word 24/7 and also share it with others.

Closing Thoughts
Words have incredible power, and that power is beyond their capacity to convey information. You can literally change the quality of your life by actively taking charge of your habitual vocabulary.
One of the major differences between winners and losers is their vocabulary. The words you speak can literally steer you towards success or set you up for failure. You can frame your world with your words. And this is not motivational talk; it is gospel truth and scientifically proven fact. Words can literally rewire your brain. I have consciously and conscientiously implemented this in my life with practical results
Stop using your mouth to describe your present circumstances and start using it to prophesy your desired future. You are not helping yourself when you continue to reinforce your predicament. The smart thing to do is to keep painting mental pictures of God’s perfect plan for your life. Then consciously take steps to actualise what you see.
These truths are so simple that most people miss them; some consider them as mere rhetorics but the few that practise them consistently have continued to experience undeniable results.
Like God did at Creation, our role is not to describe the problem but to create the solution. (See Genesis 1) God did not complain about the darkness; He simply called forth light. If you are ever going to fulfil your God-given destiny, you must stop accepting your circumstances as your reality.
No matter how bad it seems, your situation is not beyond redemption. There is always something you can do to turn things around. If you will continue to speak right and think right, you will eventually act right and live right.
You can use your words to create your desired reality by aligning your everyday vocabulary with your thoughts and the pictures you have conceived in your mind. This is especially
effective when those thoughts and mental pictures are born from meditation on God’s Word.
You cannot be thinking of possessing the Promised Land while talking like a grasshopper. If you talk like a champion, you will live like a champion. And if you talk like a grasshopper, you will live like a grasshopper. Even God cannot help you beyond the quality of your words. He says, “As they have spoken in my ears, so will I do unto them.” (Numbers 14:28)
Remember that the Almighty is not only all-knowing and all-powerful but He is also everywhere at every time. And it’s in Him that we live and move and have our being (Acts
17:28). So nothing that we speak or think escapes His attention. Now, what have you been saying in His ears? Make a decision today that every word you speak will set you up for success and not for failure.
Decide to take charge of your life and consciously choose your response regardless of what is going on around you. I pray that this teaching will be used by God to inspire and strengthen your commitment to the practice of ordering your life and framing your
world by His Word, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Now that you know this truth, how happy you will be if you put it into practice! John 3:17
An Invitation
Everything changes when you receive the gift of eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ. If you have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, or if you want to rededicate your life to Him, please pray this prayer with the whole of your heart:
“Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. Please forgive my sins and give me the gift of eternal life. I ask you in to my life and heart to be my Lord and Saviour. I want to serve you always.”
